This is an unusual Albertella trilobite from the Middle Cambrian, Jangle Limestone of Nye County, Nevada. It was found in float and is lacking macropleural spines. The trilobite is inflated and situated on a hard limestone matrix. The Albertella zone is poorly studied across the American west with the genus itself likely featuring wide variation and speciation that is yet to be described. Nice opportunity for species collectors. There is minor restoration on the genal spine.

Additional Information
There isn’t a lot of information available for this genus. Albertella belongs to the same Order and Family as the genus “Zacanthoides”, which exhibits similarly long genal spines. Albertella helena has a slender exoskeleton, long spines extending from the 3rd thoracic pleura, possibly additional spines on the axial rings, and a small pygidium with long spines. Charles Walcott writes about Albertella helena on Page 19 in “Walcott Cambrian Geology and Paleontology I”:
