If you live in the contiguous 48 states, the price you see for a listed fossil is the price you pay. If sales tax needs to be assessed it will be added on at checkout.

Other locations will be assessed shipping costs at checkout.

I founded fossil soup in 2021 to satisfy a lifelong love of geology and the natural world. I was born in England and studied geology. Later worked in geophysics before moving to the United States and changing careers to work in virtualization for a technology company.

Fossil collecting has been a passion and recently, closer to retirement, I decided to open an online store offering quality fossils to a new generation of enthusiasts as well as the established community.

We only sell real fossils and provide a 100% satisfaction guarantee. You will also find a certificate of authenticity with every purchase.

Each fossil is carefully packaged to protect its integrity. Depending on the size, some purchases will be packaged in a slide-out box with packaging. That box is contained inside the mailing box for additional protection. There may also be a plastic stand or a small 3D floating frame.

All fossils come with a card identifying the fossil, it’s age, species name, where known, rock formation and locality. There is also a QR code on each card so you can find your way back to the product page on the Fossil Soup retail store.

Yes! In fact, because we do not charge shipping at checkout, you won’t have to worry about being over-charged for mailing your purchases if you live in the contiguous 48 states. We will combine your orders in one box where possible. Otherwise expect multiple shipments.

For destinations outside of the contiguous 48 we will combine orders and apply shipping costs to the one package

Our return policy is 30 days from the time of purchase. You will be required to return the purchase in the same condition as received and are responsible for shipping. We will refund the price of your purchase in full.
