Ogygopsis is a genus of trilobite often found in the Burgess Shale. It is common in the Mt. Stephen fossil beds, but rare in other Cambrian faunas.

Incredible beauty!  This Ogygopsis trilobite was recently acquired from an old collection.  The specimen is from the Middle Cambrian of Nevada.  A beautiful example of a hard to come by species.
