Vendor: Gold Bugs
SKU Number: SQ6438811
An exceptionally rare Gyaltsenglossus sp. from the Middle Cambrian, Wheeler Shale Formation - “Red Beds”, Millard County, Utah.
Gyaltsenglossus was probably a filter feeder, but also used its proboscis to suck up organic particles deposited on the seabed. These creatures have only recently been described (Nanglu et al. 2020).
Gyaltsenglossus is a hemicordate, having a cylindrical body that is bilateral and shaped similar to that of worms. The anteroposterior axis is divided into three parts: the anterior prosome, the intermediate mesosome, and the posterior metasome.
